Bayside U18 Players shock the rugby league world with 24-4 win over England

8 Bayside U18 players played their part in making history with a shock 24-4 demolition of England U19s in Canada's first ever game of rugby league at the youth level at The Commonwealth 9s Tournament in Glasgow.
Canada went on to beat South Africa the same day 24-16 to reach the medal semi-finals.
On Day 2, Canada put up a gutsy performance to hold the best rugby league nation in the World 20-0.
In the bronze medal game Canada led an excellent Wales team 8-4 at the half before running out of gas and players to lose 20-8 and clinch 4th place in the 8 team tournament.

Guarantor update

As of August 2, 2013, we have obtained all the Guarantors to secure the $200,000.00 loan with Coast Capital Savings, finalizing our commitment of $500,000.00 to the project. We are currently waiting for some outstanding Guarantor documents to be forwarded Coast Capital Savings. Coast Capital Savings are drawing up the loan terms. Further discussion with the City of Surrey will be arranged regarding detailed construction drawings to begin the tendering process. Please note the construction committee is still accepting inquiries to assist in the building process.

Clubhouse Update

Bayside Athletic Association has been working towards building a clubhouse at our home field, over the last 24 months significant effort has resulted in great progress. A mindful decision was made to hold back publicity to the members and supporters of Bayside until significant developments were achieved.

That time is now here!

During our discussions with the City of Surrey, Bayside Athletic Association has committed to providing $500,000.00 to the development and building of a field house at Field #2 in South Surrey Athletic Park
