Adopt a Shark - Juan de Fuca Puka Trail Run

What: This is a trail run on some of Canada’s most beautiful, yet rugged coastline – the 47km Juan de Fuca Trail with a 2,500M vertical change (link).

Congratulations to Liam Murphy-Burke for being named best "Frosh" (freshman) backline player for UBC Rugby over this past year. Another Bayside player making an impact at his university club!

Max Grouette, a former Bayside Junior player and member of last years Academy program has made a big impact this year on Bishops University rugby. Max was recently chosen as Bishops "Outstanding Freshman" from all of the freshman athletes in 2011-12. Congrats Max!

Thanks to all those who attended or helped with Bayside's 25th anniversary dinner March 31. Over $8800 was raised and put towards the new clubhouse project! Keep signing up for the 500@10 program to make it happen sooner!

Semiahmoo Old Boys come through again, running a biggest loser competition, complete with donations and cash for the winners, 16 rugby players lost a total of 188lbs.

The plan was to donate 1/2 of the proceeds to the new clubhouse fund and with pretty much all the winners donating their winnings to the cause, over $2,500 has been added to the clubhouse project fund.

Congratulations to Calixto Martinez and Rupert Peers on their selection to the Canada U17 team for the upcoming tour to England in April. Both Calixto and Rupert are members of the Bayside Academy program (sponsored by Steve Nash Fitness and ARC Training) and represent Bayside at the junior levels.
