7’s News & Announcements
Great news Jordi Cook has agreed to be the 7’s head coach. Jordi has a tremendous amount of international 7’s experience and we are fortunate to have him involved and I am sure he will get some of his past team mates out to guest coach. A little history for some of the young players at one point bayside had 5 players playing for Canada on the 7’s circuit at the same time.
As well Adam Timler has been appointed 7’s Team Captain, Adam is a great bayside club member and has played 7’s a high level his leadership will be a great addition.

After a few years of not fielding a Bayside Men’s Premier 7’s Team the club will be bringing back the program for the BC Rugby 7’s circuit.
We are looking for volunteers to help in this effort; in particular we are looking a Head Coach to lead the team.
The team will be entered in the BC Rugby 7’s league Circuit and participating in a total of 5 tournaments.
Bayside has a strong tradition in 7’s rugby and was a large part of our club culture. We have had numerous players go on to represent Canada internationally.

Congratulations to Bayside Women winning the Anna Schnell Championship for the first time in club history - Bayside U18 women also reached the final of the BC Champuionships, bodes well for Bayside Womens rugby.

Bayside thanks SOB rugby for another fantastic fundraiser which put over $3000 into the pot dedicated to building a brand new, field side club house at South Surrey Athletic Park.
The second SOB Fall Dance, only one of numerous fundsaisers run by SOB rugby directed to supporting the new Bayside club house - shows the commitment of the SOBs to growing our sport and supporting Bayside.

Bayside Sharks Rugby Union and Surrey Rugby League Player Gurvinder Kalar is set to get a Canada Cap against The England Lions in Toronto on Saturday October 6th at Lamport Stadium.
"G" as he is best known, has put in some big performances for The BC Bulldogs in the last 2 Rep games against Utah Avalanche showing he can mix it with the biggest and the best!
A strong-running prop with silky ball skills and great running lines has also worked hard on his defence as it is expected from International props to make 30+ tackles in a game.
