Bayside Sharks 12
Meralomas 5 - Connaught Park  The
bayside women pulled a huge upset in women's first division
rugby on Saturday by beating the previously undefeated Meralomas
12-5. That improves our record to 3-2
The
start of the game was an indication of things to come, with
bayside exerting extreme pressure on defense. and an expansive
and unrelenting attack on offense. We shocked the much older
and experienced meraloma team with our fitness and our
commitment to the tackle. The
coaching staff feels that this may be one of the best played
games for our squad in quite sometime, and we hope that this
will be a stepping stone to having a productive second half of
the season. Scorers:
