Rugby & Coaching:  To create a fun & safe environment in which boys and girls from kindergarten to grade 7 learn the basic and fundamental skills of rugby in preparation for high school rugby

Bayside Mini-Rugby’s goal for the 2010 season and beyond is to offer the KG – GRADE 7 boys and girls of the Semiahmoo Peninsula the opportunity to play a fast-flowing and exciting brand of rugby in a fun and safe environment.

Bayside’s new brand of mini-rugby combines the skill and flair of the universally acclaimed seven-a-side rugby model for the older mini age levels with the innovative, safe , non-contact flag rugby model for the younger mini age levels. Following the Long Term Athlete Development Program (LTAD) www.ltad.ca as outlined by Rugby Canada www.rugbycanada.ca , Bayside Mini-Rugby provides your child the platform to maximize their potential as a rugby player whilst enhancing their overall athletic development to benefit all their other sports.

With these goals in mind, we have taken the revolutionary step of changing the traditional BC mini-rugby season from the Winter months to align with the Peninsula’s high-school rugby season which takes place in the Spring.
