NEWS REPORT

David McBride, making great progress and in super spirits, was one of the hundreds of spectators who came out to watch the Bayside / Burnaby Premier Division semi-final on a super, sunny Saturday this past weekend.  David, as did all of us, enjoyed an entertaining and committed performance from both teams as Bayside closed out 29 -20.  He then joined his friends and team mates for a few beers at the post game social to round out a wonderful day on all counts.

Ambulation is the operative word for David these days which according to his Dad, Peter, now includes stairs.  His hand skills are improving at pace and his overall recovery seems to be happening steadily.  It will, according to Peter, be about a six month window before the spinal swelling is completely gone.  He is now home on weekends, returning to the G.F. Strong Rehab Centre for continuing physio during the week
